The City of Rancho Palos Verdes (RPV) advises that:
The Los Angeles County Fire Department will be conducting drills that will include helicopter landings and flyovers at the Upper Point Vicente Park/Civic Center helipad on June 2, 3, and 4, 2012 (Saturday through Monday).
With the larger drills taking place from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., the helicopter activity is anticipated to occur between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on each of the three days. The drills will involve fifteen fire engines coming and going from the Upper Point Vicente Park/Civic Center property; although no traffic impacts are expected. The helicopters will be simulating water drops; however, no water will be dropped during the drills.
If you have any questions about this activity, please contact the RPV Recreation and Parks Department at 310-544-5260 for additional information.
