Yes. The City offers commingled recycling and green waste collection as part of regular household refuse collection. Green waste must be separated from other trash. Most recyclable items are simply put in one trash bin with household items without sorting. The sorting is done by the recyclers.
Residents may also dispose of bottles, plastics and paper in containers located behind City Hall.
It is also necessary to recycle 65% of all construction and demolition waste. All haulers of C&D waste must obtain a permit for operating within the City. Verification of recycling construction materials must be submitted to the City at the conclusion of a construction project.

You may dispose of household hazardous waste and electronic waste at the SAFE E-Waste collection center located at 1400 N. Gaffey Street, San Pedro. Business hours are Saturday and Sunday only from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
